Kagegizanarutocon! (and a new job...)

This past weekend was spent hanging out with thefoxes and unclekage. We spent most of that weekend watching Naruto. I think we're somewhere around episode 30 now. Only 45 more episodes left to get caught up. o.O Oh, and Cray shaved his head, too. Come on Taurin, JOIN US! THE RAZOR COMMANDS YOU!

Wow, it sure has been awhile since I've written here, though. The main reason for that is because I started a new job this week. A few key things that make it really rock:

• Working in the Philadelphia suburbs. No more Surekill Distressway on my morning commute! In fact, there are some very scenic back roads which I can take to get there. I can't wait until it becomes summertime.
  
• More vacation time. Did I hear someone whisper "Furloween"?
  
• Paid holidays. Yeah, my last job did not pay us for Christmas Day. Quite sad.
  
• Real servers. No more buying $200 machines with bad hard drives from Walmart to use as servers.
  
• Proper wiring and patch panels. No more stringing network cables across the ceiling and then stretching them.
  
• Company-subsidized cafeteria with an executive chef.
  
• Two words: Twisted Python

There are a few things which make the new job a bit of a downer:

• No more hanging out on FurryMUCK during the day.
  
• I won't get to read LJ as much anymore. (Maybe this is a sign that I should get DSL at home...)

Overall, this new job rocks! Mad props go to unclekage for the job lead!

I still hate you, though. *Paid* to code against Twisted Py! I think I'll go curl up in some corner and weep for a while. :)

Is it near a major airport?

It is at the Sheraton at the Hartford Airport. :) But more importantly, it's less than a 5 hour drive from PA. And most importantly, both Teasel and I will be there!
