If you don't vote for Bush 2.0b, there will be more terror attacks, to paraphase what Vice President Cheney said in this article over on CNN. It's like we're on the set of the movie 1984. How disgusting.

I think it's about time I volunteer for the Kerry Campaign. (follow the link to find out how you can help volunteer, too!)

To save electrons, I'll link to my comment in [livejournal.com profile] chipuni's LJ. I used the word "disgusting" in a very different way. Jinx!

I like your analogy to being on the set of 1984. It's something like that or a horrible nightmare. If there were not another choice, but of course there is, I would sooner vote for www.hamsterforpresident.com than who is in office now. Potus is also way cuter than them and I am sure he wouldn't attract much terrorism.

Yup.  Last weekend Mark Crispin Miller was on C-SPAN hyping his book, in which he claims that people who plan to vote for Bush are in a trance.  They're just listening to the beautiful words and not paying any attention to the evil reality of this fascist administration.  There's nothing you can say to wake them up; only an economic downturn within their own lives can get through to them.

I see you've met my father too...

What's really disturbing is that my father served our country during Vietnam. You'd THINK he'd be behind a candidate that did the same thing.

Yes, that decribes my father exactly. He's brainwashed or something. *rolls eyes*

I posted from my mail and didn't even see you had posted about your father! LOL! OK, he's met both our fathers? *really starts to wonder*

Actually I've been fairly lucky in that I am only vaguely aware that people like your fathers actually exist (my Dad is deceased).  [livejournal.com profile] twoolfe is as close as I've gotten, and the argument didn't really go anywhere--we just talked past each other.

You shouldn't say "people in trance", remember. You should say "people in treedom".

Erm.

And that would SUMMARIZE why I had so many problems in English class back when I was in school.

Anyway, it's fixed.
