From the lettering in the window, I'd say it was taken in Germany.

"Sex education in Germany was taken out of the hands of public school teachers and turned over to Xydexx."

Good lord; I've only heard of scary shit like that taking place in those rundown third-world euro-trash countries... like Denmark.

Oh, come on. Just because Denmark has 24 million pigs and only 5 million humans in it (http://www.economist.com/displayStory.cfm?story_id=1979752). I mean, how is that different from some of our Southern states? :-)

A pity the picture doesn't actually have a numeric address visible - from that I could probably nail it down to the exact location in Germany or Austria :-)

In our south, the diversity in local vernacular doesn't usually rise above grunts and squeals for either the pigs or their keepers.

Given that there's a Ditsch shop in the background, the choices are rather limited. It's not in a railway station, which rules out 70% of their franchises.
You're an American, and Americans obviously go to the south, so I started checking out their stores in Bavaria. There's also an H&M outlet on the same picture, so it has to be a city where both of these have a similar street address.
Now half hidden between the gentleman's funny hat is the word "Stempel", which is another helpful hint - there has to be a stamp shop with a similar street address too.
The rest was basically web searches.

D-96450 COBURG, Spitalgasse 12-16. :)

The paved street and the street entertainer and the general setting sort of reminded me of København, in one the pedestrian streets somewhere near Ny Havn. And since I know you're hanging out in Denmark these days... :)

Have an aquavit to my health! :D

Hmmm...

"And for added redundancy, the Dr. Evil model!"

(When I make balloon swords, I'm careful to make the guards long enough to avoid this type of confusion.)

Salt liquorice ice cream, hygge and nieses
Bikes without lockses and bloody cold beaches,
'R's you can't say right and perminent rain,
These are a few of the Danish bane..! ;>
