My eyes are gonna be just fine.

I managed to get an appointment earlier today with Dr. K. Hmm, That won't work, there can only be ONE Dr. K. I'll call this guy Dr. K-2. Anyway, I dropped by the office a few hours ago and, did I mention it was the first time I ever visited an eye doctor? They put me through a bunch of tests including tests for color blindness and standard vision tests. Turns out that my vision has gone down to 20/30, but they said that's perfectly normal with age and I will not need glasses. I even managed to have a little fun on the paperwork I filled out. Under the heading that said "constitution", I wrote down "3d6". The nurse who interviewed me actually got it, but "didn't want to talk about things she did in her 20s".
Somewhere in there I was given eye drops to dilate my pupils, and then was taken into a darkened room, where the doctor shined a very bright vertical light into my eyes to examine the retinas. He said that the vitreous detachment was happening for me at a younger age than normal but other than that, my eyes are just fine. We discussed my workout routine, and he said that I was probably using the rowing machine at too high of a setting, which would cause increased inter-cranial pressure, and that's just not a good thing. He gave me a bit of a reality check by pointing out that I'm just not built like a weightlifter, and I should be doing more light exercises and cardio to build definition, rather than trying to build bulk. I think he has a point.
So, I'm going to take tonight off from the gym, and then resume my weight training tomorrow. I'll try a lower setting on the rowing machine for a longer period of time, along with lower amounts of weight at higher repetitions, and I'll see how it works out after 6 weeks.
Well, my focus is starting to return (yay for touch-typing!), so I guess that means I should resume working now.
