I've had some fun and exciting things happen in my life lately:

I opened my paycheck from work the other day to find a line item called "Retroactive Pay", and several hundred dollars next to it. It turns out that my boss gave me a raise at my last review, but didn't want to tell me until the adjustment was actually made to my salary. I liked that surprise. :-)

I put some of that money to good use, and bought a new electric razor, since I didn't like the shave my current one was giving me. It's a Norelco 7885 XL. It has a little LCD screen that shows how many "shaving minutes" are left. And, what's even neater is that if you hold in the power button for a few seconds, the razor gives you a demo. That's right, it simulates charging the battery by making the meter go up, shaving, and discharging the battery by making the meter go down. All in all, that's pretty neat for a device which isn't supposed to have much in the way of CPU power.

tailen returned home a couple of weeks ago. Since I got hooked on his good cooking, I ended up cooking for myself for evening meals. Whole wheat spaghetti rocks!

There was an article on Slashdot awhile ago about Fuddruckers linking to someone else's flash game without informing them. In the ensuing discussion that followed, one creative individual remarked how he created an annoying flashing gif that he replaced some of his graphics with when people linked to them as page backgrounds and whatnot. He provides links to a few the pages, and the results are pretty amewsing.
