Thanksgiving
Dec. 1st, 2002 11:53 pmI headed out of town for a few days and down to visit Stripes Waterkat for Thanksgiving. Over the few days I was there furs came and went and ate various stages of dinner and leftovers with us. :-)
Fox in Boots and Gangrels Progeny ("G", for short) were there most of the time, and we hung out and chatted alot, as well as watched movies, while G worked on a gryphon fursuit. Z stopped by a couple of nights and chatted with us, and Beigh dropped in from time to time between work and sleep. :-)
ryvex hooked up with us on Friday, and I got to see him again. Also met a fur/anime fan by the name of Loki who worked for Comcast. Picked his brain about cable modems a little. (stupid MAC address restrictions!)
On Saturday,
sk_1 and Pandaguy came over, and they brought a few wacky card games with them. The names escape me at the moment, but the first one that we played was where the object was to create your own horror movie, and kill off characters from the other movies. The second one was a parody of Dungeons and Dragons, where we played "Munchkins" who tried to loot dungeons and be the first one to reach level 10. Things got REALLY interesting when all 5 of us who were playing all got to be level 9! There was much chaos and deal making as each person got their turn and tried to make it to level 10. Lots of fun was had!
arccoyote and
melkitsune stopped by and briefly visited, too.
Somewhere in there, a few James Bond movies were watched, some Street Fighter 3 was played, and I saw the movie Fight Club for the first time. And poor G, who works night shift, drew this picture of my character at 4 AM one evening. She was fascinated that I was a spottycat who wear ears and a tail made from fake tiger fur, so she worked those into the picture. :-) It was very nice of her!
This is probably one of the better Thanksgivings that I had in recent memory, and given earlier events, I definitely needed a break from the computer. And it helped.
