Locked out, SpamCon goes 501(c)3
May. 9th, 2003 03:18 pmI managed to get locked out of my apartment this morning. I took some trash out, and when I returned, my key would only go halfway into the lock. So, I had to call the landlord, and 40 minutes later the maintenance guy popped in. He sprayed some WD-40 in the lock, and that fixed the problem. Apparently the lock had just "dried out".
So, the moral of the story is that if you keep your holes well lubricated, you can open doors. Er, or something...
I also forgot to mention that The SpamCon Foundation got its 501(c)3 tax status awhile ago. It is now a bona fide non-profit, in the same league as the Red Cross and simailar organizations. Donations are tax deductible and all that. Two things we are looking for are computers (new, used, whatever) and co-location services somewhere in the Philadelphia area. If anyone can offer those things, do let me know. Remember: tax deductible. :-)
