Weekend stuff!
Apr. 12th, 2004 02:50 pmLast weekend
unclekage and myself drove up to Hazleton to visit
zenmouse for his birthday, along with
idigull and
errorist. Highlights of the weekend include:
- Staying up until late in the night chatting about random things
- Seeing the movie Goodfellas. I had never seen it before, and was quite disturbed by some of the portrayals of the mob scene. I must see it again!
- Playing some DDR for the first time in over a year. I was able to complete several 4-step songs without any problems from my foot. It was very pleasing.
- Getting to see some of the stripmines in the area and being awed at the size of the cranes and other equipment that is used.
- The scenic drive on the way up there and back.
- Getting a nice fist-sized lump of coal to bring back with me.
Upon getting home yesterday, I both managed to do lots of chores in my apartment AND move the rest of my Anthrocon-related stuff into a local installation of TWiki that I run. That will make it much easier for me to manage staff member info and other things related to the department. (The spreadsheets that I used before just didn't cut it.)
I also have memories of hooking up with
randomzen sometime last week, but they are obscured by the Irish Ale that I had. :-)
