Active Bukkake?
Dec. 16th, 2004 10:20 pmHere's an IM that I'll remember for the rest of my days...
(10:14:59 PM)arccoyote: so, I'm running Dcpromo on a client's new server to make it the new domain controller...
the little animation that plays while the (slow...) process runs caught my eye. It consists of a cluster of servers occasionally flashing their disk lights and squeezing out a blob of something that causes the network plumbing to bulge. It travels across the pipe and enters the new box which promptly writes scribbles on the pages of a book.
i'm imagining some sort of bizarre Active Directory bukakke, where a circle of dirty old machines simultaneously blow a load and cover a pristine new box with gallons of goo. Quite the accurate metaphor.
