WTF co-workers - Returning from MFF, I found an 18-inch double-ended uh, "wrist rest" on my desk.

Title this movie poster! - One of the most disturbing mewvie posters I've ever seen. Even if it was fake.
So that's my LJ in review. Thanks for commenting, everyone. It's all of you who made this LJ a much more interesting place than my ramblings alone. :-)
On a personal level, this year was new in some ways. I attended 9 conventions in 2008, which is a record for me. Having all of my debt paid off has given me more discretionary income that I can use to spend on luxury items, as well as max out my Roth IRA for the first time (and while market prices are low, too!).
Other things, such as work, stayed pretty much the same. (Wrist rests aside) I hit my 3 year anniversary here in December, and the company continues to be an awesome place to work.
I made it a point to try and not hang out exclusively with people I already knew at conventions, but instead to try and reach out to people I didn't know before. This seems to have been a good idea, as I made some friends in the process, and managed to stay in touch with these people.
In the later months of the year, I took some time (with the help of my physician) to try and work through some anger issues I've been having. No, really, I get angry sometimes. I may not show it, but the feelings are there, and that's just not healthy. I really don't want to die of a heart attack at age 50, so I need to deal with the issue and get it resolved. I've been making some progress with this, and hopefully will continue to do so.
What does 2009 hold for me? Hopefully a little less stress, and I continue to have stability in my career, my home, and my friendships. Here's hoping!
