It's ok, and certainly far from taboo. However, due to the required form button (it requiring your paypal address instead of an ID number or something), you'll get spammed bigtime.
Of course, it was the only thing I ever got, and a prelude to get my attention for contract graphics tablet development work (my first, as it happened), but still . . .
I suspect comic drawing peoples make more out of it. Don't expect much, and you may be pleasantly surprised.
