I've always hated that quote, which I've almost always heard said by weepy losers trying to justify being such wusses.

I actually like my friend's version of the quote better: "What doesn't kill you makes you hope it had."

He thought it up while watching some anime, not sure why but I found it funny the first time I heard it, still find it ammusing.
