Wow. I remember watching that and actually liking it when it first came on the air. 'Course now it's more a humor thing when I see it.

Oh, just to be nitpicky, that's the intro for the later season(s) of the show, after they decided that KITT needed to be a convertible and that having lots of stuff pop out all over somehow made him go faster.

the airfoils would only make him accelerate faster, not go faster. trans am body is capable of 300 with no mods apparently
