Things I've been up to
Feb. 28th, 2003 06:51 pmWow, it's been awhile since I've written here about my life.
Well, starting 2 weeks ago, we had the huge blizzard that dumped something like 16 inches on Philly. That was fun to dig out of because I um, sort of didn't have a shovel. Didn't think I would ever need one, seeing that I live in an Apartment. Loki, who was visiting that weekend managed to borrow a shovel, which we used to dig out his truck, then we drove up US-30 to the nearest hardware store that was acutally open.
So I am now the proud owner of a snow shovel. Yay.
I saw the pawdiatrist again on Wednesday and got my first cortisone injection in nearly a year. The good news is that it's helped the nerve a LOT. The entire area feels severely bruised (4 ccs of liquid will do that to you!), but that's nothing that can't be fixed with icepacks and Advil. Dr. G suggested that I get an MRI at a different place, which will supposedly catch size differences down to 0.5mm so he can see what's up with my nerve. Then I see him again in a few weeks, possibly for some more cortisone and very likely for orthodics.
Medical insurance kicks ass.
I bought a Play Station 2 last night, along with Grand Theft Auto 3. That game so owns me. :-) It also means that I can actually watch DVD movies now, which is convienent seeing that the local video rental place is selling off some of their VHS tapes and switching over to DVDs. Now all I have to do is get Meet the Feebles on DVD, and my life will be complete.
I spent most of this week at the office busting on the sales guys to finish up SQA (Software Quality Assurance) on my latest project, which has both English and German versions. My first international project! Finally got it approved by the testers and launched just a few hours ago today. So, that's another project done, and we'll probably get to do more international projects in the future, yay!
I am so vegging out this weekend.
