They call me... MISTER CORTISONE!
Mar. 21st, 2003 10:30 amI saw Dr. G again last night. Got another lovely shot of cortisone in my foot. We talked more about the condition of my foot and one thing he suggested it may be is Capsulitis. Some key things from there include: pain when walking on hard surfaces (happens to me), and it is often misdiagnosed as Morton's Neuroma. The good news is that it can be treated with orthotics. Which leads me to...
I was measured for orthotics last night. However, they didn't tell me until I arrived for my appointment that not only do most medical insurances not pay for them, but that they also cost a whopping $325. Dammit. :-(
The orthotics are expected to arrive in 2-3 weeks. We'll see what happens then. Urk.
