Ancient pictures of the Main Line
Aug. 18th, 2006 11:33 pmI recently found this page, which has pictures of Philadelphia's Main Line from the late 1800's:
George Washington's Headquarters in Valley Forge:

The Green Tree Inn in Malvern, take in the 1890s:

The "new" train station in Ardmore, taken in 1870:

The "hanging rock" on Gulph Mills road. If driving north on that road today, the rock is half a mile before the onramp to 76 Eastbound:

My, how housing prices have changed:

One of these guys was arrested for exceeding the 10 MPH speed limit. F*cking crminal!
