PhillyCarShare fun
Aug. 29th, 2006 11:10 pmSo, I decided to use PhillyCarShare to get groceries tonight. I live in the suburbs and shop in the suburbs and, since there isn't yet a pod near where I live, that meant getting a car from the city, driving out to the supermarket, driving groceries back to my place, then taking the car back to the city.
Here are the stats:
Total Time: 2 hours
Total Cost: About $15.50. (This includes gas)
That time includes the heavy rains we got coming through the city tonight, and the subsequent flooding. It is a little long, but I'm thinking that this might be worth the time, if it means no longer having to pay $300+ a month in car payments and $150 a month in insurance.
More tests of PhillyCarShare to come...
