Time for an updating about my life...

Somewhere in the last couple of weeks I finally got a new bed. It's queensize, and very soft. I sleep like a rock now. :-) I also got a microwave. Now I can start blowing up eggs again! (Yes, I did this as a kid)

I saw Dr. G the other week and got custom made orthodics for my shoes. They are made out of, get this: graphite! I could use these things as bludgeoning weapons for 1d4 points of damage if I wanted to! The left insert has a piece of foam, about the size of a dime, that goes underneath my foot just behind the 4th toe. In theory, it's supposed to spread the meta tarsals about and take some pressure of the nerve.

While wearing them, I don't feel any pain from the nerve, which is good. The downside is that it's really irritating the muscles on the bottom of the foot. At least with sore muscles, I can ice them up, take Advil, or whatever. I see Dr. G again in 1.5 weeks. Walking barefoot? NOT.

[livejournal.com profile] taral suggested that I look into acupuncture for relieving the pain and possible fixing the problem altogether. If anyone is knowledgable on the subject or has had it done on them, please drop be a line, I'd love to talk more about it before deciding on a course of action.

I've been adding to my collection of DVDs and Play Station 2 games lately. I've recently picked up Metal Gear VR missions, Metal Gear Solid: 2, and Robotech: Battlecry. Robotech is action game where you go from storyline to storyline, and is loosely based on the Macros segment of the anime. The game is a bit difficult at times, but wasn't bad for the $20 I paid. Metal Gear VR Missions consists of just more VR missions from the first game, but with all sorts of twists. Like... take out as many enemy troops as you can with Stinger missles in 60 seconds!! I haven't played Metal Gear Solid: 2 yet, except for the VR missions. From what I've seen so far, the game does look impressive.

That's all the news for now, later on!
