I find the latent homosexuality of these uber-macho movies highly interesting. It's amazing the way "300" appealed to far-right armchair warrior/militia types (who are a whole 'nother case study in latent homosexuality) as well as many hordes of decidedly liberal gay people—for reasons that are more similar than meets the eye.
