IBM, what were you thinking?

So, I happen to read the ACM Queue. It's an industry magazine for computer professionals. It has informative articles, and overall I consider it to be a pretty respectable publication.

So, imagine my surprise when I opened up a recent issue and saw this ad inside the front cover:



It's uh... kinda uh... a picture of an office full of white sticky stuff... yeah....

I think this is best classified as an advertising idea gone horribly wrong!

"Me!?" demands the patient. "You're the one who keeps showing me the dirty pictures!"
