I translated the above without the benefit of a South Philly-to-English dictionary, so a couple of the words might be off. The full thing can be heard here. It also includes some rapping from other forefathers of the United States.
I'm getting chilly down in Philly
Yo you all know it's my pal.
Though I'm ancient as a mariner
I still get down.
You see
I get electric when I fly my kite.
I'm getting finger on the trigger,
*pop pop* in a gunfight!
Tommy B's gonna kick some brits
And gather up the minutemen
to take it on the offense.
Some decry this as a
Sign of our ascendance.
Up to the bass we
Declare our independence!
