Here's my Friday Five!

1. Are you superstitious?

Only about Microsoft products. The reason being is that there are SO MANY undocumented things in their programs and all sorts of unexpected things that you do one thing to a machine, 5 other things get affected for no apparent reason.

2. What extremes have you heard of someone going to in the name of superstition?

I avoid Microsoft software like the plague. :-)

3. Believer or not, what's your favorite superstition?

"If you masturbate, you'll go blind." Puh-lease. That sounds like something someone of "the religious right" would say as they're cheating on their 3rd wife.

4. Do you believe in luck? If yes, do you have a lucky number/article of clothing/ritual?

No. But I do believe in the laws of probability.

5. Do you believe in astrology? Why or why not?

Not really. It's kinda neat, but I think it's kinda silly that we're predestined in life based on when we were born. And if we're born one day later than someone else and have another sign of the zodiac, that we're going to have an entirely different destiny? I don't think so.

I think your image of astrology is oversimplified. Even people who are serious about astrology believe that its popular, comic-page form is bunk.

FWIW, I'm not an astrology believer per se, but value it because it encourages self-examination, regardless of how "right" it is. Which is also like about furry. :)

some work some don't. i don't value it, i don't disvalue it. my bio mom made a chart probably when i was like 5 or 6 but didn't show my parents or me, and sure enough the personality was correct. i should see if some other events that happened were marked on there just to amuse myself
