Weekend Baby Shower

This past Saturday, I went to cuddles_cat's baby shower down in Maryland for the afternoon. It was mostly her family, so us guys kinda holed up in one corner and chatted with each other. In attendance from the furry community were nonsanity, roxikat, Kagemushi, Max Goof, and one more gentleman whose name I don't remember but he had a striking resemblence to errorist. I also got to meet Nonsanity's father, who was an UBER GEEK. So he and I immediately hit it off and began chatting about technology for most of the shower.

That was a day trip, so I was back home on Saturday night and had all day Sunday to catch up on some things. The big thing I took care of was taxes. I had enough taken out of my paycheck this year so that I'll be getting some money back from Uncle Sam. I also took care of some issues with daemontools and the tcpserver program where certain kill signals weren't being propagated to the tcpserver program. I was able to fix this taking a similar apporach to getting NRPE to play nice with daemontools.

Other than that, I read some Slashdot and also caught up on my back issues of Readers' Digest.

I'm going to take a wild shot in the dark and say the fur you're probably thinking of is Kibrah. I had a picture of him to go off of in trying to find him at AC, and I must've looked at Carmine (I think that's "Errorist's" furname) about twenty times trying to read his badge and realizing once again that this was not the fur I'm looking for. I believe Kibrah is also rather close to MaxGoof, which is what tipped me off (also I think he recently mentioned a baby shower).
