Today's dose of irony

The guy on the table is dressed up as a member of The Ku Klux Klan. The KKK is a white supremacist group in the United States. They were founded in 1865 after the Civil War and their membership peaked in the early 20th century. They regularly lynched black people during that timeframe, as well.
I can't help but wonder how the guy on that table will live with himself, if he survived the ordeal.

Date: 2004-03-23 08:50 pm (UTC)After the war, the northern solders were still invading the southern lands. It's not necissarily their fault, but think of the early KKK as the gorila south instead of a discriminatory cult. It's like the rebel flag, it was just a battlestandard. Now it stands for racial descrimination in many parts of the states, and some people display it for southern pride. The mentality of the states during the "War of Northern Agression" and following it is a great subject ^.^

NO BLACK BROTHERS!
Date: 2004-03-23 11:17 pm (UTC)Anywho as I remember the clan (3K SOB group as I sometimes call them) pretty much had some form of themselves for anyone who hated anyone. Essentially that was there to ensure they could survive so they had those who hated jews, blacks, etc. etc. etc.
