Today's dose of irony

The guy on the table is dressed up as a member of The Ku Klux Klan. The KKK is a white supremacist group in the United States. They were founded in 1865 after the Civil War and their membership peaked in the early 20th century. They regularly lynched black people during that timeframe, as well.

I can't help but wonder how the guy on that table will live with himself, if he survived the ordeal.

Check your history, they didn't target blacks over carpetbaggers untill they broke up and re-founded after the turn of the century. When they were initially founded, they served a purpose: much of the northern army was still looting and raping the south. "Preserving Southern Honor" Wasn't a joke directly following the civil war.

After the war, the northern solders were still invading the southern lands. It's not necissarily their fault, but think of the early KKK as the gorila south instead of a discriminatory cult. It's like the rebel flag, it was just a battlestandard. Now it stands for racial descrimination in many parts of the states, and some people display it for southern pride. The mentality of the states during the "War of Northern Agression" and following it is a great subject ^.^

That kinda reminded me of a certain urban legend. Four gang members raped a girl and then went for some high-speed driving; eventually, they ended up in the car crash. As they were brought to ER, it turned out that the surgeon happens to be the said girl's father. When the gangsters started to recover, they figured out that all of them were neutered. And they had no legal ground to complain, as in case of "imminent danger to life" ER surgeons are allowed to perform whatever surgery they deem necessary.

Anywho as I remember the clan (3K SOB group as I sometimes call them) pretty much had some form of themselves for anyone who hated anyone. Essentially that was there to ensure they could survive so they had those who hated jews, blacks, etc. etc. etc.

Hypothetically speaking, IF something like that happened and IF the surgeon got off on a legal technicality, he could still lose his license and his hospital could be fined. Just like when a surgeon carved his initials on a patient (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/631568.stm)(!) once.
