skorzy's LJ...
1. WHAT TIME DID YOU GO TO BED LAST NIGHT?
2 AM. I've been a bit of an insomniac lately, since my current job has kinda strange hours. Hopefully this will improve in the near future.
2. IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOURSELF WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I'd try not to get so stressed out over the little things. Sometimes it's helpful to think of worst-case scenarious when writing software or planning logistics for events, but worrying about certain things too much isn't healthy.
3. PAPER OR PLASTIC?
Plastic. Easier to carry.
4. WHAT WAS THE LAST BOOK/MAGAZINE YOU READ?
A recent issue of Reader's Digest, which I have a subscription to.
5. NAME A TV SHOW YOU CAN'T STAND TO WATCH?
TV? What's that? I do not have cable nor do I watch much TV. I think a lot of the comedies that are on the networks are pretty brainless. It'd be nice if I could *just* get the History Channel and the Discovery Channel for $5 a month.
6. WHAT DID YOU EAT FOR LUNCH TODAY?
Turkey and cheese sandwich, strawberry yogurt, and a rice crispies treat.
7. DO YOU LIKE TO BE SURPRISED?
Sometimes. Surprises make life more interesting. But if I get too many of them, then I become a little bitchy because it means that I have less control over things in my life.
8. WHAT COLOR IS YOUR TOOTHBRUSH?
White.
9. WHAT BRAND OF DEODORANT DO YOU WEAR?
Sure
10. YOUR FAVORITE STORE TO SHOP AT?
Believe it or not, there's a K-Mart that I like to shop at. I usually go on evenings when there's less people there, and I can find all sorts of interesting things there. I like browsing their DVD section, because they tend to have older things on sale. I try to buy at least 1 DVD every time I shop there.
11. FAVORITE SEASON?
Summer. It's nice to walk around outside without having to wear a heavy coat.
12. FAVORITE DESSERT?
Chocolate icecream.
13. WHICH ONE WOULD YOU PREFER - MAID OR PERSONAL CHEF?
Personal chef. My cooking skills are practically non-existant, but I can keep my place clean well enough on my own.
14. FAVORITE CANDY?
Granola bars. If you consider them candy, at least. They're rather healthy, too!
15. REGULAR OR DECAF?
Usually decaf these days. The caffiene hit from regular makes me too jittery.
16. FAVORITE RESTAURANT?
The Kobe Japanese Steakhouse in King of Prussia, PA. Good food and a nice atmosphere. It's best to go there with a large group of people.
17. WHAT CHARACTERISTIC DO YOU ADMIRE?
Integrity. It's all about doing the right thing when no one is watching.
18. FAVORITE HOLIDAY?
Halloween. But then again, it's also my birthday.
19. FRUIT OR FRUIT SMOOTHIE?
Fruit. I'm not going to PAY just to have ice mixed in with my fruit! I can do that easily enough with a blender!
20. HOW MANY RINGS ARE YOU WEARING?
Zero.
21. HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR MEAT PREPARED?
Medium well. I'm not a big fan of pink centers in meat.
22. WHAT WAS THE LAST CARD YOU SENT SOMEONE?
I sent out a bunch of Christmas cards around Christmas time last year.
23. WHAT RADIO STATION IS ON WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW?
None. I'm listening to MP3s over earphones.
24. WHO DO YOU LEAST EXPECT TO SEND THIS BACK TO YOU?
Say what?
25. WHO IS THE PERSON YOU EXPECT TO SEND THIS BACK FIRST?
What? Send *what* back?
26. ONION RINGS OR FRENCH FRIES?
French fries. The first person who calls them "freedom fries" is getting a mallet to their nads!
27. DO YOU LIKE TO PLAY CARDS OR BOARD GAMES?
I like card games more. They usually involve more strategy and are more fun when played in groups.
28. NAILS POLISHED OR UNPOLISHED?
Uh, how about unpolished.
29. DO YOU LIKE NUTS ON YOUR SUNDAES?
Sure, why not? I haven't had a sundae in years, though. I had enough of them from McDonald's when I was a kid, and their overall nastiness kinda turned me off them as an adult.
30. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SODA?
Pepsi. But I don't drink much soda anymore, either. If I need that much sugar, I'll just scoop a cup out of a 5 pound bag, thanks.
31. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SPORT TO WATCH ON TV?
Pro bowling. It's a lot calmer than any football game. I've never heard of a bowling fan getting drunk and beating up other bowling fans.
I figured I would post this, since there is no Friday Five today...

Date: 2004-03-26 11:46 pm (UTC)What? Consumer selection!?? Where consumers have a CHOICE in what programming they want to watch?!? Tell that to Viacom. They want to force you to pay $70 to get a bunch of stupid fucking television stations, like TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network), when we don't want it.

You're already wound up and go at five million miles per hour. :)

You've obviously never been to a bowling alley during league night, when everybody is twelve beers in the hole.

Date: 2004-03-26 11:59 pm (UTC)Oh yes I have, I used to bowl in a league when I was up in Allentown. We get a bit silly and noisy, but it was never an "us vs them" attitude. Contrast this with Philadelphian football fans, who have been known to throw snowballs at the opposing team's coach (http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/homeNewsDetail.jsp?id=5076)! I'll stick with bowling, I think. :-)
