Carpet, it's what's for dinner!

I had a pretty good weekend. First, a brief bit of background: my apartment has hardwood floors with NO carpeting. Several months ago, I bought some carpeting, but a combination of work and my foot problems kept me from every laying it down.

So, phildafeline came over this weekend and helped me move furniture, lay the padding followed by the carpeting, and move the furniture back. Whee. Right now, I'm sitting in a MUCH quieter apartment then before. My keystrokes no longer echo off the walls, and I can actually drop a plushie on the ground without fear of it becoming dirty.

I could learn to like this...

I can't help but find this a bit funny, as I would kill for hardwood floors instead of carpet :-) Easier to keep clean (okay, I have a house full of kids), better when dealing with the allergies, and I just like how they look better.
