- Been doing some Anthrocon stuff on and off throughout the week. Mostly management stuff like working on the schedule and checking up with people for when they will be available to work during the con. God, I feel like such a... manager. *twitch* But with a little luck, all of the work for my department will be done by the end of the month, and I can go visit my family for the 4th of July. (That, and I want to blow up lots of stuff in their backyard.)

- I watched The Great Escape over the weekend. Pretty cool movie, despite its age. All I have to say after watching that movie is: F*CKING NAZIS! Anyway...

- The American Film Institute released their list of The 100 Best Movie Songs. Hakuna Matata from The Lion King made it on the list at #99. That's not too bad considering that most of the songs were from classical movies many years old.

- Foot's still being a pain. Seeing that the pain is at the back of the foot, between the heel and ankle, I'd bet my rosettes that it's a muscle problem. I'll be seeing Dr. K tomorrow to find out for sure. I have the feeling that I'll become good friends with my bottle of Advil in the near future. At least the nerves in the front of the foot are quiet. I don't bother them and they don't bother me. :-)

- This article on CNN says that the Atkins Diet and other "Carb-friendly" products are leading Americans to poor health because they're not eating the fruits, vegetables, and grains that they need. Repeat after me, class: CARBS ARE NOT BAD FOR YOU. If there is anything that is bad for you, it's processed foods. Foods with high amounts of sugar, salt, or fat in them are bad for a number of reasons. If you want to live healthy, avoid those and your health will improve considerably.

Repeat after me: Those people are abusing the diet by ignoring the actual recommendations and guidelines set forth in the diet plans.

Fireworks belong in the hands of professional pyrotechnologists. They get paid the good money to blow things up, not themselves. Besides, isn't home use illegal?

Only if we're caught. And it's not MY home, so I'm not too worried! ;-)
