Last week blew right by, and so did the weekend! I feel like I need to get caught up with things. Oh well.

  • On Sunday, I went to visit Ferian and Oryx for the day. Oryx's birthday was coming up, so Ferian went behind his back and invited a bunch of us who hadn't seen him in some time to come by. It pretty much surprised the HELL out of him. :-) In attendence were also [livejournal.com profile] unclekage, Cordite (hope I spelt that right), and Kelar (owner of pounced.org). We hung out, ate veggie burgers (darn good, too!), and were introduced to the movie Equilibrium. It's a cross between The Matrix and 1984, but it doesn't suck as much. There was also a game of Apples to Apples, and we got to see how twisted some of the folks there were. :-)

  • Somewhere in there, I put a new monitor on my machine. Based on discussions that I had with [livejournal.com profile] skippyfox and [livejournal.com profile] thefoxes, it was suggested that the Viewsonic E773 monitor I had was defective, as the display was rather dark, no matter how high I set the contrast. The new monitor took a little getting used to, but it's a whole lot better in terms of brightness. I can now see all the details on pictures that I look at.:-)

  • I bought my first business suit last night. I feel like such a manager now.

  • AC is just over a week away. *twitch* *twitch*

  • Regarding my foot, I saw Dr. K last week about it. He examined it and diagnosed the problem as a strained deltoid ligament. It's like a sprained ankle, but the injury was on the other side of the ankle. He said that the cause of this is that my left foot is becoming a little flatfooted. I was also told that my prior problems likely didn't contribute to this, but rather that it's genetic (my father has flat feet) and tends to happen as you get older. Joy.

The treatment was for me to put moleskin strips on the arch of my orthotic, to keep the right side fo the left foot from rolling to the right (also known as "pronating"). He also said that heat should be avoided because it will stretch the muscle, and we really want it to contact. So he recommended icing it up instead.

  • I went a few rounds with Debian at work today, and I'm beginning to understand why the others don't like it. The last version of PCRE in the stable branch is 3 years old? Debian can bite my furry spotted butt.

  • And now the news: Leopard Attacks Threaten Mumbai's Capital City - Don't mess with us. :-)

Peace out.

As of now, I haven't officially asked anyone to pick up an AC 2002 t-shirt for me at the con. Not that I have the money for one anyway. Is there any way that after AC I can send you the money and have you send me a shirt?

We can talk about this later if you want.

Ah, crap

Ah, that reminds me. I did check our inventory last weekend, and there are no L or XL shirts left from AC 2003. Sorry.

Err... 2002... or was that a typo? It's ok, thanks for looking anyway.

Doesn't matter. We don't have ANY L/XL shirts left. Apparently our shirts are quite popular.

I can't read it whole right now...
But wow? They're going to release food instead of killing the big kitties? I'm impressed.
