Missouri voters endorsed a state constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage.

Next on the ballot is an ammendment to vote black people out of the state.

That is pretty sick. But who would want to be out and married much less live in Missouri? I'm reminded of the Wayne's World movie. "And now we're being magically whisked away to... Missouri! Hi. We're in.... Missouri" ;)

People who call Missouri their home? People who have friends, family, real estate, and emotional ties to their homes?

(Truce: I'll stop being snarky if you will. :) )

I was kidding of course. I can't hold any grudge against a state who calls itself "The Show Me State" :D

Um... you're not serious about the black people, are you?

Of course not...

Contrary to popular belief, it's ok to be black and live in Missouri..

...or any color for that matter..

..err... as long as you're a good, straight, God-fearing person.

oh, and you better not be one of them dirty American-hating terrorist ayyyrabs.

Blacks and women won their civil rights in the last century. This century we're going to see alternative sexualities and, if patriotic xenophobia gets much worse, immigrants battling for the same thing.

But they will win. There's never been a civil rights battle that hasn't been won sooner or later.

It sucks, but you've got to remember the media paints a much bleaker (wow that doesn't sound like a word) picture than realistic.

You NEVER hear about the states (or counties, etc) that have ENDORSED gay marriage. That doesn't make headlines.

This is coming from a communication/media major mind you.

ahhhh good ol america, every couple of years we work to stop the progression of civil rights to another group by use of some random book... and what a wonderful book it is, why with but a little work it can target any good kind person and cause what would be a tsunami of fuckers to go against that person's quest for equality and their own pursuit of happiness...

*starts screaming about things*

Yeah they would try and stop the black vote, but oh wait! We practically DO! With our happy system of the courts and throwing a disproportionate amount of minorities into the prisons and then denying them the right to vote afterwards we've done THAT! Ain't that great!? >.<

*screams till his voice goes out*
