Rick Santorum on gay marriage

Just in case there was any question where Senator Santorum stands on gay marriage:

The amendment "is to provide moms and dads for the next generation of our children. Isn't that important? Isn't that the ultimate homeland security — standing up, defending marriage, defending the right for children to have moms and dads, to be raised in a nurturing and loving environment? Isn't that what this debate is all about?"

I'm going to take great pleasure in voting for his opponent come November. (who IS running against him, anyway? I Googled for '"Rick Santorum" opponent' and didn't find anything definite. Hmm.)

Maybe there should be a corollary to Godwin's law that delcares a discussion to be over whenever the words "terrorism" or "homeland security" are mentioned...
