I came into work this morning to see this in my e-mail:

I came into the office this morning and was welcomed by a very unpleasant experience. Somebody had blocked up the toilet last night and decided not to use a plunger.

Human feces (that is shit in case there is any confusion) is not like fine wine -- it does not get better with age. Blocked toilets do not magically unblock themselves.

There is a plunger for our use. Please show the courtesy to use it.

I do not wish to plunge anymore toilets when I come in in the morning.

I don't know what's worse, the fact this happened, or that the guilty party was someone who should have known better...

It can have different consistancies, masses, densities, odors, temperatures.. much like variations in the weather, dependant on high and low pressure systems, the area's location in relation to local contenental or maritime, tropical or polar airmasses. For instance, if you lived in kentucky, you would presently be experiencing a high pressure system, which means fair weather. The high temperatures translate into low density. This means your crap is pretty firm and comes out with a pop, nice and easy. Now, in days to come, our warm weather will be hit with cold weather from up in canada, creating a cold from. Pressure will drop, temperature will drop, and the density of the air's water content will raise. This will create some shortlived but heavy precipitation from cumulus clouds (the cute little cauliflower ones), which build up and release their payload suddenly. That translates into explosive diarea. Now, if it were the opposite, the warm air from the tropics quickly hitting a slower moving cold system, there would be a warm front. Pressure and temperature would drop, density would raise, but it would be a much more gradual process. The sky forms merky stratus clouds, kind of an overcast, that stick around and drizzle for days. Never any real relief for the atmosphere, it just lasts a long time without much to show for it. That translates into, you guessed it, constipation.
