  • Work has been really busy this past week. We're getting ready for a release of our product, so I've been putting in a lot of hours. One evening I was in until 1 AM so that I could meet a deadline. My boss was very happy about the effort I was putting in, which is good for me. :-) It's not something I want to repeat often, though. I was starting to get really tired, and was beginning to make some stupid mistakes in my code.
  • Because of our product status, I was "on call" this weekend. I didn't get called about anything, which is good. I ended up spending most of my time around my apartment. Got the place cleaned up and did lots of reading online. I also got to hit the gym on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
  • I got some work done on my website this weekend. It was mostly back end stuff, like taking my "table of contents" type pages and moving them from the static section in Mambo into the same category where the rest of the related content was. It should be a little easier for me to manage things there now. I also put up my pictures there of Muth Circle.
  • Speaking of the gym, I've been trying a new workout routine. Previously, I would go to the gym and work out for 2-2.5 hours, doing a bunch of different exercises. Now, I'm only working my upper body or lower body on a given day, and switching my workout for the next day. For example, one day I'll go in and use the rowing machine for cardio, then do things like the chest press. The next day, I'll use the bicycle for lower body and play with the leg press. This shortens my workouts to 60-90 minutes in length. This means that even if I get out of work later than normal, I might be able to visit the gym.
  • I found this forum, which shows pictures of various electrical wiring violations. Neat and educational.
  • I did lots of reading on Wikipedia this weekend. Did you know that the TRW, the company that does credit reporting on individuals, is the same company that built the Pioneer series of space probes? That's just amazing. Talk about having diverse holdings.
  • Regarding this picture that I posted in my LJ awhile ago, it was actually taken in... Flensburg, Germany! That was kind of a trick question, because I wasn't actually visiting in Germany, rather I was staying in Denmark. I just happened to be close to the German border so it was a short drive to get there. I'll have to post pictures from my trip sometime.
  • For those who didn't know, there is a Wiki for Homestar Runner. It's at www.hrwiki.org.

I came into Germany because the booze there was cheaper than in Denmark. :-)
