Nov. 4th, 2002 10:36 amI spent most of this weekend at my place, playing with the servers that were donated to SpamCon awhile back. Let me tell you, trying to install Linux on a Compaq Proliant is not a trivial task. ("SMART Array controller not found?! WTF?")
Other than that, I rented some movies this weekend, one of which was Rush, which is about two undercover narcotics agents who end up getting caught in the drug culture. It's a great movie because there is no clear antagonist. It's left up to the viewer to decide who the villian is.
On Friday, I got a piece of snail mail from my ISP, ot.com. Seems that after selling dial-up access since 1994, they decided to get out of the business. As of this morning, we'll be customers of NuNet instead. It should be interesting to see how things pan out with them.
Finally, I installed SpamAssassin on my machine this weekend. It's a good filter. It's almost too good. Out of 47 e-mails that I downloaded this morning, 25 of them were spam. I think this banner sums up my feelings adequately:
