MFF Con Report

I attended Midwest Furfest this past weekend, and oh GOD did it rock! Rather than trying to post things in chronological order, I figured I would post random things instead.

• duncandahusky and takaza shanghaied me into being on Art Show staff this year. (Well okay, I really volunteered!) It was a lot of fun, I got to work with Kit Fox, Kestrel, roho, feren, and kristenq. I never had any involvement with an art show before, and I learned a whole lot of stuff about it. It was well run, lots of fun, and something I intend to do next year, w00t!
  
  
• Bummed a ride from tchall to try and find a pharmacy nearby. Thanks d00d! It took so long to find one that I began to think that prescription drugs were illegal in the state of Illinois or something!
  
  
• Got some really cool sketchbook art from herbietoons_art. It will be scanned when I visit someone who has a scanner!
  
  
• Got another sketch of my character from Taurin Fox. It will be posted as soon as I get the scan of it.
  
  
• Got to meet pawslut IRL. Also go to meet was1 who I had known online for what, 4 years now?
  
  
• Got to see the following people again: aureth, awolf, billycoyote, blackfeather, bohor, boixboi, brophey, camstone, daveqat, duncandahuskey, errorist, gatcat, gentiger, glaide, idigull, jbadger, jouva, Kagemushi, kinkyturtle, justincheetah, kipaji, kipfox, Leandra from FurryMUCK, maanerud, plaguefox, rasslor, rigelkitty, rustitobuck, roolander, silfur, snow_kitty, sympolarbear, takaza, tonyringtail, torrle, triggur, xydexx, and zenmouse.
  
  
• I also got to meet the following people for the first time: brianweis13, delphi_of_clf, freakylynx, kenket, nrasser, and normanrafferty.
  
  
• I'm sure there are others I forgot to list. Sorry if I missed you!
  
  
• The fursuit parade rocked. Especially kinkyturtle's Godzilla costume!
  
  
• The rest of it was mostly socializing for me. Despite my time spent on the art show, I got to hang out with a great many furs and generally have a lot of fun. Even more strange, I went to bed at a reasonable time (before 3 AM) all the nights I was there.
  
  
• Falling asleep while being held in the arms of a friend is really really nice.
  
  
• The flights out and back weren't too bad. I always get nervous when flying. But it was tolerable.
  
  

I am SO going back to MFF next year.
