Yes, I know about The Drupal Association. 3 different people have told me in the last 24 hours. Y'all can stop telling me now. [Edit: But I appreciate folks thinking of me, though!]

Anyway, while I'm rambling, I wanted to briefly mention IM. No, I'm not in IM much anymore. I found it to be too distracting during the evenings while I'm trying to work on a website or just want to chill in front of the TV for a bit.

And what is it with people who I do not know, that keep trying to get my attention via IM, and then flip out when I don't give them 100% of my attention and reply instantly? I have no idea who you are -- which means I'm not likely to start up a conversation with you, okay? Is there any particular reason why you are unable to use email to communicate with me?

I'll shut up now.

It looks like Computer World now uses Drupal for their blogs.

Also, another Drupal-powered site that some of you may have heard of: The Onion.

As the subject line indicates, after a 5+ year wait, I finally got to see Reboot Season 4 a few weeks ago. I think that the folks behind it did a great job at expanding the overall story and tying some of the loose ends together. Though I think some parts of "My Two Bobs" did seem kinda drawn out, but I think the overall experience made Season 4 worth watching. It's a pity that more seasons weren't done after that. I would have loved to see more stories in the "Net" universe.

Some months ago, I wrote about the knee pain I had been suffering from, and my diagnosis of "Chondromalacia", or blisters in the cartlidge behind my kneecaps. Well, I did what my doctor told me (wearing knee braces and avoiding the elliptical machine) and I am pretty much pain-free at this point. I still need to wear my kneepads during heavy activity for the next month or so, but I think that's mostly to help keep stress off of the tissue for any leftover healing that needs to be done.

Back in December, I noticed that my weight had gone up considerably. I was up to 194 pounds at the time. This was due in part to having less aerobic activity while my knees healed, along with eating lunch at a restaurant in the city most days, and having largeish portions of food less than an hour before going to bed. So I started hitting subway and the local fruit stand for lunch, and cutting my dinner portions in half, or having only a bowl of soup if it was near bedtime. Of course, I kept going to the gym 2-3 times a week. I weighed myself last night, and it looks like I'm down to 181 pounds. So, that's 13 pounds lost, and I'm spending less on food every week. I think I can live with that!

I've also been drinking a little more lately, mostly by enjoying certain single malt scotches. While it's rather pleasant, I have concerns about the long term effects of this. So I figured I'll keep up the alcohol use, but make it more producitve, by drinking a glass of red wine each day. Incidentally, I see more trips to the state liquor store in my future. Would anyone care to recommend some inexpensive brands of red wine to me?
