I've been "feeling" busy over the last week or so, and I have no idea why. It just seems that all of my free time has been taken up by one thing or another. Oh well.
My sore throat continued into late last week, so I saw Dr. K on Friday. Turned out to be a viral infection in my upper sinuses, which explained why I didn't have the sniffles. My throat itself was fine, but just a little irritated by the post-nasal drip. I was prescribed some prednisone to reduce the swelling in my throat to prevent a possible bacterial infection. I was also prescribed Humibid to loosen up the sinus canal to my ear. Fun stuff.
Loki (
joshvon) visited me over the weekend. We mostly hung out and watched some movies. I finally got to see The Two Towers in the theatre. It was much better than the first one, as there were actually some battles in this movie. :-)
I got injection #9 in my foot today. The pawdiatrist added in a little cortisone this time to try and shrink down the nerve a bit. So I've apparently gone from shots to mixed drinks for my foot. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not.
Oh yes, I've also drastically cut down my caffeine intake. On days when I had to have coffee, I've drank decaf, and had decaf soda during lunchtime. About the only real difference I've noticed is that I don't get as jittery when I get worked up over something (or someone), which I suppose is good. Keeps my stress levels down and all that.
