Things that are new
Feb. 7th, 2003 02:45 pmI seem to have been making LJ entires less and less lately. This is a combination of the physical therapy I've been going to, as well as working on some cool projects at work. I still have found time to read LJ on a daily basis. Anyway...
I rented Changing Lanes and Insomnia over the weekend. Two very um, unusual movies. The first one can be best described as two random guys crossing paths and getting into a huge pissing contest over it. The second movie is more of a suspense/thriller, but had a very unusual plot. I came away from that movie trying to figure out who the whether the protagonist was really the antagonist or vice versa.
I started physical therapy again last week for my foot. This time around, it's a little different. I'm getting the medicine which my pawdiatrist prescribed applied to the bottom of my foot, and then ultrasound is used to "push" the medicine in so that it reaches the nerve. Quite painless, and hopefully it will work out.
At work this week I've been busy on a couple of cool new projects (which I cannot discuss here or I'll get in trouble :-). My progress has been better than planned, and I'm 2 days ahead of schedule, yay! I also "enhanced" our TWiki a little by adding some of the demotivators from despair.com. That'll uh, make us all more productive, yeah. Here's my favorite:

Dumb looks are always free. :-)

Date: 2003-02-07 01:29 pm (UTC)OMG! Despair.com rocks! =) Thanks for that!
Here's a few other lines I've picked up from somewhere, along the same lines but on more of a corporate/product slogan tilt:
"A mistake carried out to perfection."
"Complex nonsolutions to simple nonproblems."
"Garbage at your fingertips."
"Ignorance is our most important resource."
"Putting new limits on productivity."
"Simplicity made complex."
"The defacto substandard."
