Beware the Tire Vampires!
Feb. 13th, 2003 12:36 amSo, I took the train into work yesterday, and picked the worst day of the year to do that. :-) Seems that right past 30th Street Station, a bunch of wires fell across several tracks, which disrupted the entire regional rail system for most of the day. Had a delay getting home, too.
Heard back from the shop later in the day, turns out that my right side tires were both punctured by something, probably on I-95. I blame the Tire Vampires. They were probably just hiding out on I-95, waiting for me to come along and to suck all the air out of my tires. (Don't say I didn't warn you,
xydexx, they'll come for you someday when you least expect it!) Anyway, while the car was in the shop, I got an oil change and my PA State Inspection done, which saves me from having to do those later in the month. Crisis breeds opportunity, I guess.
I went to pick the car up yesterday evening. I walked nearly a mile to get to the dealership, and my foot held up pretty well. Nowhere near painless, but it didn't feel like walking on a thumbtack either, and that is good.
Today was very boring. Worked on specs and debugging stuff at work. I did however get my spec approved, so I can spend the next few days in a mindless code-writing frenzy. And that's the way I like it.
