Mainly it's that initial "oh what is THIS now?! I never had to sign up for anything BEFORE" deal. Then there's the "yet ANOTHER damn password to keep track of" factor.

Spamex (http://www.spamex.com/) can be used to keep track of logins and passwords that you use with one of their disposable email addresses. All available via a javascript button that you can drag into your browser's toolbar.

I've been using SpamEx for a couple of years. It's quite badass. :-)
