For those of you outside the US, Ann Landers wrote an "advice" column that was published in US newspapers for 40+ years. I recall having read it in newspapers when I was younger.

Sadly, she passed away on June 22, 2002 and asked that the column not be continued after her death. So, a few weeks worth of columns had been written in advance before she died, these were published and then the column ended. So, I give you:

Ann Landers' Final Advice Column

I wasn't all that offended, though I did recognize that this could easily be interpreted as cruel.

What confuses me is that I don't see how this could be interpreted as "funny." I just don't get it. Ann Landers died. Then somebody pretended that she typed these responses about pain and suffering. A little ironic maybe. But otherwise I just don't get it. So all I see is a tasteless jab at death...pretty lousy.
