While reading some mail on a list about eminent domain discussion earlier, there was talk about the high-profile case of Kelo vs. The City of New London. At some point through the discussion, an individual lawyer chimed in about how Kelo was obviously a moron and why, if she had only listened to HIM and done things HIS WAY, the outcome would have been much different.
Shortly thereafter, a message was posted from a Senior Attorney from The Institute For Justice setting the facts straight. Seems that the gentleman was full of opinions on eminent domain, and insisted that things be done HIS WAY, but was a bit light on experience. In fact, the number of eminent domain cases he was directly involved with was a big fat ZERO. In itself, that's kinda sad, because there plenty of abuses of eminent domain going on in his state, but noooooo, he couldn't be bothered to actually like, put forth any effort to help out.
Hmm... someone with no experience, but obviously an expert in the matter... now where have I seen that before?
Yep, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
