My PhillyCarShare materials came in the mail today. So, what should I drive first?

A BMW 325i?

A Mini Cooper?

Or a Volkswagon Beetle convertable?

If any car geeks have recommendations, I'm all ears!

Start with the Mini Cooper, as it's known to be the roughest ride. Then go for the BMW so you can really enjoy yourself. Finish off with the VW, just to settle in on some basic comfort.

I say Watch the weather. if it's nice, take the convertable. Crappy, Take the BMW, If it's really hot, abuse the Mini.

Dude!

If the sun is out, go with the Convertable!

It can brighten up even the worst days to just put the top down and Go!

I've never regretted a day since I bought a convertable Sebring 3 years ago.

That's a pretty cool idea, especially if you're somewhere you only occasionally need a car.

I'm pondering a MINI (perhaps a convertible one) for when I move to the US, if/when you drive it do let me know how you like it, please :)

Take it from someone who lives here: you're better off using public transportation.

Well, I've heard horror stories about public transportation in LA; but had indeed planned to see what kind of public transportation I could take to get to where I'll work. If I find a house or appartment close enough I'd even walk; a 30 or so minutes walk each way would be quite OK with me, and healthy.

Oh, I see. Yeah...

One of the (few) things I like about Philly is that we have regional transportation here. It would take me 30-45 minutes to drive into the city, but I can take a train and get there in 25.

I don't know why I said LA, I meant the Bay are in California o.0

I'll live close to where I'll work though, not in a far suburb... so whatever I choose won't be too long a commute.

Anyway I'm used to commuting 1:30 hours to and from school, so it won't be THAT bad =P
