Thinking of going to FurFright

I had originally decided I couldn't make FurFright because of cost issues, but then I checked Airfares. Tickets for flying up there from Philly are an "OH MY GOD" level of inexpensive, which raises the chances of me attending the convention.

So, the question I'd like to ask folks is, should I attend? Any folks that I know who are going? Are there any events are activities in particular that I might enjoy? Any other ham radio operators going? :-)

There is a large group from maine going and i intend to tag along. I probably should talk to someone about room space in such though...

Yes! Definitely go! :) FurFright will be fawesome this year. There will be no snakes and no planes. ...Well, there will be planes, the hotel being adjacent to the airport. But no snakes!

Amtrak is $100 ($85 with my SA discount) for a 4hr trip, and a flight is ~$130 on Priceline for a 1 hr trip.

That by itself isn't too bad, but that on top of hotel and food and such is too much for me... I WILL make it to a furry event sooner or later ._.

It's a small, social con. Pretty relaxed and laid back. If that's your thing, then go. Personally, I think its a great time, and shall be there ;)

I'll be going there. Most of my friends are running it anyhow and it's a nice escape from everyday life.

Hi Giza,

This will be my third convention, after doing AC, Anthrofest, and this year FurFright.

I also will be on staff there this year - I just hope I know what I'm doing and have gotten myself into ;).

Who else is going? I believe Kildoo, JD, Rooterhusky, Kio, BrunBera, SilverWolf, and BlackWolf and probably lots of others I don't know.

Looking at the promo video, I found myself naming quite a few people who I knew, or heard of in previous years.
