Man bites dog. No, really!

You know... if you're gonna go and do something like that, at least be smart enough to NOT bite a police dog! Here's a quote from the article:

Russell was on the sidewalk and bleeding from the head when he grabbed the dog by the throat and started choking it and biting it on the neck, police told the paper.

Officer William Foster reportedly punched Russell twice in the face before he released the dog.

Police charged Russell with injuring a police animal, resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration.

Anyone want to nominate this guy for a Darwin Award?

Naw, Darwin Awards go to those who commited stupidity in their normal state of mind. Not to mention he's still alive. ;)

Enh. I'd nominate him, but he was inebriated. :P

And yes, they ARE giving darwins to those still alive too now. Kinda defeats the purpose though, I guess.

Yeah, and being drunk doesn't excuse you from certain illegal activities either, nor protect you from arrest.

Then again, when you're drunk you can do some pretty stupid shit. He could have done worse than just try to bite the dog. Now that would have been interesting.

Yup. "Hey Mr Policeman!" *starts humping the dog in front of him*

Actually, that would have been more funny than him biting the dog. :P

It's happened before. I had a zoophile friend who once told me about another zoo who was talking to a mounted police officer WHILE fondling the horse's bits.

Actually, I think I've heard something about that before too. *chuckle* Hey. At least the horse enjoyed the convo. :)

Did your friend's friend get caught?

No idea whether he got caught or not. I personally think it would be hard for someone to fondle a horse's bits while talking to a cop and not have the cop notice.

I dunno. Cops are pretty stupid in general. *snicker*

As I understand it, you're eligible for a Darwin Award if you've removed yourself from the gene pool, by either dying or becoming unable to reproduce. It doesn't sound like either of those things happened to the guy, though.

I dunno. They keep changing the rules on the darwins over the last few years, simply because the human race is getting stupider. :P

the introduction of the internet and international news at hand 24/7 certainly made people seem more stupid.  instead of reading 1 newspaper and maybe hearing about one or two insanely stupid things a year, you can read multiple instances each day.
