I had a pretty busy weekend doing random errands.

On Saturday morning, I took my car in for maintenance and, since I'm not using it much anymore, decided to just drop it off and pick it up at a later date. This meant I had the fun of finding my way back into Philly via SEPTA's bus system. Fortunately, there was a bus stop right across the street from the dealership and the next bus that came by was on its way to the 69th Street Terminal, so that wasn't too bad.

I then ran some errands in Center City and came back home. [livejournal.com profile] omnibahumut stopped by, and I promptly fell asleep on the sofa while we were watching South Park. :-P

On Sunday, I inflicted the movie "Saw" on Omni and then he returned home while I picked up a car from PhillyCarShare for some grocery shopping. I took a hybrid car this time. I saw about 51 Mpg during the trip, which was pretty impressive, seeing that over half the driving was city driving.

Somewhere in there I banged on Drupal 4.7 some more. At this point, I think I have everything in place to start upgrading my sites to Drupal 4.7. It's a pity that some of the module writers couldn't be bothered to write upgrade paths for 4.6 to 4.7, though. This means that I'll have to redo some tasks. :-(

I still need to go through my FurFright pictures.

I will reach the bottom of the hill I'm sliding down and turn 30 on Tuesday. Anyone have suggestions for things I can do? (non-arrestable things, please :-)

Isn't city driving precisely what hybrids are good for?
I beleive they don't do that well on highways... I mean, they do OK, but not outstanding like they do in the city.

True. The Prius EPA rating (which is of course, extremely optimistic) is 60 city, 51 highway, 55 combined. The reason is the highway speeds require more running on the engine, while in the city, the stop/go and slower traffic let the electrics do more of the propulsion.

A) Saw is a fucked. up. movie.

B) the banging on Drupal that he was doing invovled a lot of swearing on Giza's part... it was really quite amusing :P

Btw, you should go trick or treating for your birthday :P (and I can only guess that you would never eat the candy, so you can just give it to me :P)

I saw the movie Saw 3 in the theater. The ending to this movie has a total twist...

As far as turning 30, well, congrats :) See if Kage can join you and go out for a few rounds in town.
