Seen on CNN: Man loses 260 pounds from original weight of 500

The article includes a before and after picture of the gentleman.

The way he lost weight included dieting, exercise, and joining a gym. Not bad for someone who was 34. He also regularly visited his doctor every 4 to 6 weeks to be monitored. In the beginning he was on blood pressure medication but was able to discontinue it once his weight had gotten low enough. He also got counseling, to figure out what the mental and emotional reasons were for his eating habits.

And the best thing is, he didn't use Ultra Slimfast. ;-)

That is the best way to do it, much kudos to him.

I've been shedding a few pounds simply by halving my portion size. When you allow yourself to eat just about anything but only eat a little of it, its pretty easy.

Yeah, been getting my excercise in order, going down the list of things to help your weight.

Diet
Exercise
Sleep

If people would just work on a consistant regimen to handle those three things they can manage their weight far better.

I've cut out sodas and sweets and taken up rollerblading.

Plus I eat Subway every day! (Uh, OK, so I own a Subway restaurant so that's not surprising.)

I guess the one encouraging thing is that my starting point was (slightly) under his goal weight.

You own a Subway? That's awesome!

I too have been doing the Subway thing. I discovered that eating an Apple followed by a 6" turkey hoagie keeps me "feeling full" for as long as 12" hoagie by itself would.

Well actually two of them now: http://jimmys.tw/

Some US Subways have fresh fruit options now as part of the 'Get Fit Menu'.
