Me: Check out this 1943 Employee Handbook from Walt Disney! The joke on page 6 about ID badges is pretty funny too!
Co-worker M: I don't think that's a joke...
Me: I think it is!
Co-worker M: Is not!
Me: Is too!
Me: Okay, let's just dig up the guy who wrote the book and ask him.
Co-worker M: He might not be dead yet...
Me: All the more reason to dig him up! He'll thank us for it!

Huh. What was Disney Studio's function during the war? I see reference to "war work". I know that they put out propaganda films. Anyone know what else? Did they produce training movies or something? Time to hit up Google and wikipedia.

A lot of training films. Many of which involved having to use sensitive materials as reference. Most movie companies, especially small commercial and industrial film studios did work like this.
