Name brand long-life batteries, the true mark of something designed to blow up :)

And to top it all off, they were in place for two weeks before someone in charge noticed them. If they HAD been bombs, the damage would have been done.

not to mention the fact that bombers generally don't call attention to their bombs by covering them with lights...

In the other cities where they planted these things, the cops where smart enough to examine these things before pushing the panic button.

Course those other cities are also taking shit for NOT pushing the panic button.

While I think it was an overreaction, the marketing company REALLY should have thought this through a little more.

Fox News seems to be banging the drum over what an atrocity this was particularly hard, and a much beloved internet moonbat took time off from calling for the execution of John Kerry to insist that these things LOOK JUST LIKE PIPE BOMBS!

OMG. Banner truly is on another planet.

That reminds me, have his big cats mauled anyone lately?

Okay, so I'm not the only person who's noticed that Banner is completely off his rocker?

For a while there, I was worried.

Wow. I'd never seen that before. What's he doing on Livejournal? I thought us furries 0wned this place.

It's not Fox News Channel anymore. Thanks to our good friend Keith Olbermann it is now the Fox Noise Channel. Couldn't have thought of a better one myself.

He keeps big cats? My mental image of him has always been of a precocious but angsty fourteen year old who discovered Hannity and Coulter and became smitten with the way they pour out scorn, and decided to craft an online persona for himself based on their style, and parroting their views on issues he doesn't really understand.

I'm not sure I'd buy any claims of his owning big cats, or frankly anything beyond a bedroom at his parents' place filled with model airplanes and posters of Ann Coulter and Laura Ingram, but I've never met him, and I've been wrong before.

I just checked out the journal you linked here. It is satire, right?

Sadly, Banner seems to be very, very serious.

One time, in some community here on LJ, I said that I wasn't a fan of how Condoleezza Rice was carrying out her duties (in just about as many words), and Banner just went off on me about how I was biased because I "hate niggers" and was misogynist or something.

Attempts to explain that I had never even mentioned Rice's race or gender in my one (1) comment failed to have any effect on getting Banner to think of me as anything other than a nigger-hating woman-basher.
