Once upon a time, I spent a long summer working at the, sadly, defunk Catskill Game Farm (as my cousin had married into the family who founded and ran the place). And there I learned a great deal about both Zebras and cheetahs.
A healthy zebra is nothing to dismiss. Given the luck of the draw, a healthy male zebra would be no easy prey for a single cheetah. If the cheetah didn't get a killing grab on the first attack, there is a very decent chance he's going to get the CRAP kicked out of him.
