Thinking of attending National Night Out?
Jul. 30th, 2007 12:30 pmDid you know that Matt A. Peskin, the organization's founder, pockets one-third of their annual budget for his personal salary? Yep, it's right here in the Philadelphia Inquirer. He gets paid $255,000 per year.
There's also some venting about it over on Philly Future and the Save Ardmore Coalition website.

Date: 2007-07-30 10:22 pm (UTC)I don't normally get them through this method, because you can get them online a few months later via GuideStar (http://www.guidestar.org/) or Foundation Center (http://foundationcenter.org/findfunders/990finder/), but it's worth bearing in mind if you want to know and the filing date has just passed (it takes the IRS a while to get the originals scanned). Note that non-profits can file 3-month extensions to delay filing, so you should be specific about what year you're getting, otherwise you might get the previous one.
Summaries of the information in the reports are integrated into WikiFur's yearly convention listings - for example, Anthrocon 2005 (http://furry.wikia.com/wiki/Anthrocon_2005#Financials).
